En partenariat avec le Théâtre du Nord et en écho avec son spectacle Ébauche d’un portrait de Jean-Luc Lagarce présenté au théâtre de l’Idéal à Tourcoing (20-29 avril 2010), une exposition-dossier pour penser le portrait et (en) esquisser l’idée... de l’ébauche à la débauche de portraits, à partir de ceux d’Eugène Leroy bien sûr, mais aussi de Francis Bacon, Pierre-Yves Bohm, Louis-Léopold Boilly, James Ensor, Jean Fautrier, Guerchin, Markus Raetz, Rembrandt, Odilon Redon, Marc Ronet, Theodore Rombouts, Xavier Noiret-Thomé, Alexis Trousset, Jan Van Pee...

In conjunction with the Théâtre du
Nord and the performance of Jean-Luc
Lagarce’s Ébauche d’un portrait presented
at Tourcoing’s Théâtre de l’Idéal (20-29
April 2010), this special-theme exhibition
reconsiders the portrait and sketches out its
meaning, from process to excess. The exhibition
is inspired by portraits by Eugène Leroy
but also by Pierre-Yves Bohm, Le Guerchin,
Markus Raetz, Marc Ronet and Rembrandt,
among others.
Samen met het Théâtre du Nord en de
voorstelling van Jean-Luc Lagarces Ébauche
d’un portrait in het Théâtre de l’Idéal in
Tourcoing (20-29 april 2010), bestudeert
deze speciale thematentoonstelling het
portret en schetst ze de betekenis ervan, van
eerste ontwerp tot uiterste afwerking. De
tentoonstelling is geïnspireerd op portretten
van Eugène Leroy maar ook op die van o.a.
Pierre-Yves Bohm, Le Guerchin, Markus
Raetz, Marc Ronet en Rembrandt...
